Ordered this product for my washing machine despite a slightly different serial number. It worked.

This product is easy to replace (make sure you turn the electricity off on your unit before install) The price for this part is great and definitely saves you a boat load of $ to have someone come and do it. Note that i ordered 2 of these. I was wise to do so. The part lasted about 2 years and since i had another one I was easily able to make the swap. I'm now reordering another 2 of these. I don't know how much longer my unit will last but if its just a matter of replacing parts to keep it going without having to buy a new one then I'm more than willing to do so. Great product, great price and does exactly what its supposed to. Hope this helps!

Who would have known the reason the washer didn't drain & spin was because of this switch. The local appliance part store said this switch was no longer made by washer manufacturer. However, Blue Stars offered this switch and is an exact match and saved me big bucks from thinking I might need to purchase a new machine.

DON'T FORGET TO UNPLUG THE POWER CORD!My first searches for this part turned up several "No Longer Available" messages, saying that the part is NLA from Frigidaire/Electrolux. Further searching turned up sellers on Amazon and elsewhere. I picked the seller I picked because of their price and shipping time estimate, and they did not disappoint. Installation was quick and easy, with no modifications or adaptations needed, and the new assembly works perfectly.ONE THING YOU SHOULD KNOW: This assembly has a microswitch attached to the main body which may or may not have been on the old part. Whether or not the old part included the microswitch, connect each wire to the same terminal it was connected to on the old part, transferring one wire at a time. There is no need to add any wires. Make sure the connectors on the wire grip the tabs on the switch tightly; if they don't, give them a SLIGHT squeeze across the wider, flat sides with your pliers.If your old part did not include the small microswitch, you may safely ignore it. Either way, it adds a nice click sound whenever you open or close the lid. :>)

Trouble shoot a Fridgidaire washer that was not working at the spin cycle. The problem was a failed door switch. Found this for a fraction of the cost elsewhere and received in only a few days. My 10 year old Frigidaire Gallery Series stackable washer/dryer combo decided it didn't want to do the wash part of the equation, so I assumed the ol gal had given up the ghost. Before checking prices on new units, I decided to Google the symptoms... And it turns out a simple part can halt the whole process--THIS part. Figured for twelve bucks it was worth a shot.Part showed up 10m ago and I'm already back to doing laundry! What a relief.DISCLAIMER: If you don't understand tools find someone who does, these things are built just a little more complex than a birdhouse. Get the old switch out first and make sure the part number matches before ordering, and you'll be fine.

Works like before

The lid lock to my washing machine broke, and I purchased this one from Amazon. It fits, and it works. I'm very pleased and the price was right.

Price was reasonable enough to take a shot trouble shooting on repairs for washer. Did not solve the problem, but assuming it was not faulty, rating on price and quick delivery.

This saved me from buying a new washer/dryer. It was hard to get to and remove the original part, but this slid in easy.

Ordered last night. Received today. Installed in 10 minutes. Washer now works(it wouldn't agitate). Hopefully it lasts awhile. I'll update my review if it fails so others on the fence can decide if it's worth the price.

The part was a drop in replacement but does require work with the mounting bracket. New screws and drill to open the holes just a tad will make it an easy install.(Note: I was repairing my 18 year old washer so new screws is a must)

If your stackable washer / dryer won't go into the rinse and spin cycle and will completely die BUT will do everything else, you mot likely just need to replace this part.HINT: one of my biggest concerns was getting the washer (full of clothes) drained. All you need to do is take the front cover off (take two bottom screws, pull cover up, then pull out), and slide the lock into the closed position. This is the signal for the washer to continue through the cycle. You can tape them together and make it work until you get this part.As easy as unplug 3 cables connected to old switch, take off old switch, plug cables onto the new one, screw on, and voila!Let me know if you have any questions.
